Imathia and Pieria have been, throughout history, junctions of religions. Visitors will go round to ancient Greek, Jewish and Muslim sanctuaries and take part in various related workshops.
Guests will visit ancient Greek sanctuaries of the Olympian Gods and Goddesses, which can be found all over the region. Christian churches and monasteries, dating back to the Byzantine era, can be discovered in abandoned villages along with the Synagogue in the Jewish neighbourhood of Barbouta in Veria. The relics of the old mosques in Veria, Naousa & Katerini, bear testament to the peaceful coexistence of the populations.
